History
The brand began in 1995 with the visionary efforts and teamwork of Pascal Jaulent and Nadine Roth. Jaulent and Roth wanted to create a brand that expressed creativity without compromise to produce a product that truly flaunted the uniqueness of each individual that wore their eyeglasses. They were leading a new movement that wanted to see eyeglasses as more of a desirable accessory than a necessary piece of medical equipment.
Much of the brand’s heart comes from founder Pascal Jaulent’s passion for humanity and social issues. His journey began with a strong desire to better the world through urban planning which led him to Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris. He worked in the financial department of several large businesses before fulfilling his desire to work with a smaller company by joining the team of Lunettes Lafont Paris, one of the top brands in Paris. His position of General Manager grew into an insatiable love for eyeglasses, frames, and fashion. A new era was born as he delved into this new world that combined his love of architecture with his love of humanity.
In 2015, the FACE A FACE brand joined a group called the Design Eyewear Group. This group combines several different brands such as Inface, ProDesign, WOOW, Kilsgaard, and more from countries all over the world, under a single management team which includes Pascal Jaulent as the Chief Creative Officer. This launched the brand into a new goal of unifying international eyeglasses brands to make them easier to access. Together they now better target specific clients with unique needs.
Lines
FACE A FACE eyewear features several different lines that appeal to different customers. However, each line has both the themes of architecture and humanity clearly visible in the way they combined crisp lines with personality. Each of the frames in these lines is created in the design studio with the expert eye of Jaulent overseeing each new creation. The PICCA line draws its inspiration from the challenge that photographers have with capturing light in all of its changeability. The designers used transparent acetate and subtle colors to create a lightning effect on the surface of the frame. Suns
FACE A FACE also features a line of sunglasses for men and women. They have familiar names such as ALIUM and BOCCA, but with full UV protection.
