Vinylize by Tipton Eyeworks
Optique of Denver’s philosophy is to provide you the very best in terms of eye care and artisan sunglasses—and we’re delighted to be working with the Vinylize by Tipton Eyeworks brand.
Zachary Tipton, the founder of the brand, is a man who has always pursued perfection by creating something different. While studying, Zach’s vision began to deteriorate, so he started his quest with rimless frames that evolved into experimentation with different plastics.
Continually developing new concepts, he realized that 3 frames could be made from one vinyl record—and Vinylize was born. The brand was founded on the principles of making quality glasses from recycled materials, which opened new horizons and development for the eyewear company. The brand repurposes over three tons of vinyl per year—and continues to design them into fashionable eyewear.
Zack teamed up with his brother Zoltan in 2004 and founded Tipton Eyeworks, which will be the company behind the Vinylize and Cinematique collections.
The first prototypes were made from old communist-era vinyl found at local flea markets. To make the vinyl frames more durable, they were fused with biodegradable cellulose-acetate. Nowadays, all Tipton products are handmade in Budapest by their skilled craftsmen, which makes the variety of the grooves pattern endless. Their collections feature chunky frames, modern lines, and brightly-colored accents.
Even more remarkable, this Budapest-based eyewear brand has provided frames for many music industry greats. Including Elton John, Robbie Williams, Fred Durst, Sir Richard Branson, Elvis Costello, and Mark Lanegan.
Nowadays, glasses have become a staple fashion accessory whether you need to see 20-20 or not. Optique of Denver provides the best selections of eyewear that withstand the test of time, and suit your personality and lifestyle. So, update your looks with Denver’s eyewear inspired by today’s latest and greatest styles.
